Hello there!

This is a restart of my blog...I'm going to try to actually use it this time, as my stream-of-consciousness rants are irritating my friends on the social networks. I suspect few will read this page, but at least it saves them inconvenience. haha!

What to know about me? I've grown up in louisiana and Mississippi and must say I love the south...it's not perfect, but has a lot of charm. During that time, I developed some social graces and studied religion and history at a baptist private university. People always ask me if i'm still religious now, and I definitely still am, although my beliefs are always changing. Probably the closest I've ever seen to my own current beliefs in a theologian is Karl Barth. I plan on continuing theological study at a catholic university fall 2011 and hopefully eventually getting a Ph.D. in historical theology (conc. new testament) and teaching.

Other fun stuff about me: I enjoy playing music. The band I'm in right now is called Ellephare (guitars/keys/BGVs/etc.) I'm also working on a solo project that's three separate EPs with different musical styles and lots of thematic ties. It's overtly ambitious, but I prefer ambitious and convoluted/flawed to mediocre. I also enjoy good food and drink. I recently started a coffee roasting business with a friend for a while...fun, but too time consuming. I love spicy food.
